Lucemi is designed to be a private and supportive space. We understand that you may choose to share sensitive and deeply personal information while using the Platform, and we take that responsibility seriously. We use technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information and your emotional safety.

If you choose to share certain conversation data to help improve Lucemi, we aim to minimize privacy risks by removing or masking direct identifiers where reasonably possible before such data is used for product improvement, safety, and research purposes. Lucemi does not store raw voice recordings unless explicitly stated otherwise for a specific feature.

Because Lucemi evolves over time, this Privacy Policy may also change. The most current version will always be made available through the Platform. While details may evolve, our commitment to protecting your privacy remains central to how Lucemi is built and operated.

Lucemi Privacy Policy

Lucemi (“Lucemi”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides AI-powered emotional support tools through our mobile applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, how we protect it, how long we keep it, and the rights and choices you have in relation to your personal information.

By using the Platform, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect when you:

  • create an account;
  • use Lucemi’s mobile app, website, or related services;
  • interact with AI-powered conversation tools, journaling tools, and wellbeing features;
  • contact us for support or other inquiries;
  • interact with cookies, SDKs, analytics tools, or similar technologies used through the Platform.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, services, or applications that may be linked to or integrated with Lucemi but are not controlled by us.

We collect both Personal Information and Non-Personal Information.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, Personal Information means information that identifies you, relates to you, describes you, or could reasonably be linked to you. Non-Personal Information means information that does not directly identify you and cannot reasonably be linked back to you.

Such as your email address and any other contact details you voluntarily provide when contacting support or communicating with us.

Conversation Data

Such as text-based conversations, reflections, journal entries, mood check-ins, prompts, responses, and other information you choose to enter into the Platform.

Support Communications

Such as messages you send to our support team, reports, feedback, complaints, and related correspondence.

User Preferences

Such as language preferences, settings, opt-in or opt-out choices, privacy settings, and feature preferences.

Automatically Collected Information

When you use the Platform, we may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:

Online Identifiers

Such as IP address, device identifiers, session identifiers, or similar technical identifiers.

General Location Data

Such as country, city, region, or approximate geolocation inferred from IP address or device settings. We do not collect precise geolocation unless explicitly disclosed and enabled for a specific feature.

Device Information

Such as device type, model, operating system, app version, browser type, language, crash logs, and similar system information.

Platform Usage Data

Such as features used, session duration, in-app navigation, interaction patterns, timestamps, and technical events that help us understand performance and usage.

Voice Data

Lucemi does not store raw voice recordings by default. If voice-enabled features are available, audio may be processed transiently to provide functionality and then discarded, unless a specific feature clearly states otherwise and you choose to use it.

Sensitive Information

Because Lucemi is an emotional wellbeing platform, some information you choose to provide may be sensitive in nature. You are not required to disclose more personal information than you are comfortable sharing. Unless clearly stated otherwise for a specific feature, please avoid sharing highly sensitive information that is not necessary to use the Platform.

How We Use Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • to provide, operate, and maintain the Platform;
  • to create and manage user accounts;
  • to enable emotionally responsive and supportive AI interactions;
  • to deliver journaling, reflection, and wellbeing features;
  • to personalize certain aspects of the user experience;
  • to respond to support requests, feedback, and inquiries;
  • to maintain security, detect misuse, prevent fraud, and protect the integrity of the Platform;
  • to troubleshoot bugs, diagnose technical issues, and improve performance;
  • to conduct internal analytics, product improvement, and service development;
  • to comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations;
  • to enforce our Terms of Service and protect our rights, users, and business.

Improving Lucemi

If you opt in where required, or where otherwise permitted by law, de-identified or anonymized conversation data and usage insights may be used to improve Lucemi’s quality, safety, emotional intelligence, and overall user experience.

Where reasonably possible, direct personal identifiers are removed, masked, or separated before such data is used for internal improvement, testing, analytics, or research purposes.

Opting out of optional improvement uses will not prevent you from accessing core Platform features, unless a particular feature depends on that processing.

Where required under applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR and UK GDPR, we process Personal Information under one or more of the following legal bases:

Contractual Necessity

We process information as necessary to create and maintain your account, provide the Platform, authenticate users, deliver core features, and respond to your requests.

We process information where necessary for our legitimate interests, including securing, maintaining, monitoring, improving, troubleshooting, and developing the Platform, preventing abuse, analyzing performance, and protecting users and Lucemi, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.

We process information where necessary to comply with applicable law, legal requests, regulatory requirements, law enforcement obligations, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Consent

We rely on consent where we specifically ask for it, including for certain optional analytics, optional product improvement uses, certain tracking technologies where required by law, or other optional features. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. If you withdraw consent for certain optional processing, some related features may be limited or unavailable.

We do not sell your Personal Information.

ServiceProviders
With trusted service providers who help us operate the Platform, such asproviders of hosting, cloud storage, analytics, security, authentication, customer support, crash monitoring, or infrastructure services. De-Identifiedor Aggregated Information
We may use and share de-identified, anonymized, or aggregated information that does not reasonably identify you for analytics, research, safety, service improvement, and business reporting purposes.

Your information may be processed, stored, or accessed in countries outside yourstate, province, or country of residence.

By using the Platform, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have different data protection laws than your own.

Data Retention

We retain Personal Information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Platform, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce ouragreements.

  • Conversation Data — retained while your account     is active, unless you delete it earlier or request deletion, subject to     lawful exceptions;
  • Support Communications — retained for as long as     reasonably necessary to respond to your request, improve support     operations, and meet legal or compliance obligations;  
  • Technical and Usage Data — retained for operational,     analytics, security, and product improvement purposes for a period     reasonably necessary for those purposes.

We may retain certain information longer where required or permitted by applicable law, including for tax, accounting, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, security, record-keeping, or legal compliance purposes.

Data Deletion and AccountDeletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by using the in-app account deletion feature, where available, or by contacting us at support@lucemi.me.

If you request deletion:

  • we will delete, erase, or     de-identify your personal data within a reasonable period, subject to     legal, regulatory, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, and     record-keeping obligations;
  • some information may be retained where required or permitted by applicable law;
  • backup copies may continue to exist for a limited period before being securely overwritten or deleted in the ordinary course;
  • de-identified, anonymized, or aggregated information that can no longer reasonably identify you may be retained for analytics, safety, research, and service improvement     purposes.

Deletingyour account may result in permanent loss of access to your conversations,journal entries, preferences, and other account-related information. Thisaction may be irreversible.

Whereapplicable law gives you a right to erasure or deletion, we will honor thatright subject to lawful limitations and exceptions. The right to deletion isnot absolute and may not apply in all circumstances.

Dependingon your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • access the Personal Information we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion of your Personal Information;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;

  • access controls and     least-privilege permissions;

  • logging, monitoring, and     security review processes.

Lucemi team members do not access user conversations under normal operational conditions unless access is necessary for security, support, legal compliance, abuse prevention, safety review, or other legitimate operational reasons and subject to internal controls.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

Lucemi is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children.

If you believe that a child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us immediately at support@lucemi.me, and we will take appropriate steps to investigate and, where appropriate, delete the information.

Third-Party Services

The Platform may contain links to or integrate with third-party services, platforms, or tools. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties that we do not control. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.

Your continued use of the Platform after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means that you acknowledge the revised Policy, to the extent permitted by law.
